Hong Kong ProServices Council operates under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries aiming at providing a platform for facilitating business networking and disseminating latest business information and development to members. For enhancing members' understanding on current challenging business environment, we are dedicated to provide a wide range of supporting services and information, including the latest update on relevant policies and legislative issues. We are also delighted to organise a series of activities to better serve the needs of members, enhance business interaction and explore business opportunities.

The Hong Kong services industry is well developed and its overall level of service is high. Some sectors have tremendous competitive edge. However, the Hong Kong services industry is facing the plight of high costs and low return mainly because of increasing rents and salaries. Over the past years, the industry is facing challenges which are becoming more and more intense. As Hong Kong's market capacity is small, it is difficult for industry to achieve a scale of economic effect. Therefore, the industry should focus on exploring business opportunities to cope with these market changes; for example, seeking collaboration with the Mainland to achieve more economic profits.

With the warmest support from our Executive Committee members as well as our valued members, we continue to devote our efforts to support local industrial development through a series of seminars, visits, luncheons and cross group networking events. These activities attract many participants, including FHKI leadership and members of other industrial groups, for socialising and discussing business opportunities in a casual environment.

To provide better and tailor-made services to our members, the Executive Committee of new term is now divided into five subcommittees, including Membership Services, Recreation Services, Vocational Services, Communication/IT Services and Knowledge Management subcommittees. Executive Committee meetings are held regularly to discuss the industry issues that are concerned by members. Views and opinions of members are consolidated and reflected to related government departments for shaping policies and legislations which benefit the growth of industry.
